Based on the list of institutions generated by our webscraping, we were able to generate latitudes and longitudes using GoogleAPI and the reticulate package in python. The python script used is python/affiliate_lat_long_python.py. Using the latitude and longitude we are able to map the most active countries based on the number of DOIs linked back to their region. We have a breakdown of the USA and Europe as well due to the high number of publications in those areas.
