Synapse

A Warm Welcome

This program offers a medium for connecting incoming U1 Physiology students with U3 Physiology seniors. Students who have just selected their major may be filled with questions regarding job prospects after graduation, class selection throughout their three years as physiology students and information regarding laboratory work or volunteering opportunities. For these reasons, every year seasoned U3 students are paired up with several U1’s and communicate with them through emails, organized events and one on one meetings, should they be interested, as a way to introduce students to the physiology major with open arms. The Physiology student council organizes this initiative and will also ensure that students in the Physiology and Math or Physiology and Physics streams are paired up with U3 students in the same program.

If you're interested in being a Synapse mentor, please contact your U3 rep at the beginning of your U3 year!
